The Day You Said Yes
You were probably nineteen, or twenty-two, or sitting in a folding chair at some church camp when it happened — not a lightning bolt, more like a quiet certainty that settled in your chest and refused to leave. You said yes before you could talk yourself out of it. You said yes to a calling that was bigger than anything you had the vocabulary for.
Do you remember the moment? Maybe it was a camp altar call, a mentor pulling you aside, a quiet sense that would not leave you alone. You said yes to something you could not fully see, to kids you had not yet met, to a God who was already moving before you raised your hand.
That yes was not about your qualifications. Isaiah was undone before he was sent. The calling came first, the equipping followed. You did not talk yourself into this life — you were drawn into it.
Start the year here. Not with your calendar or your program calendar, but with the memory of that yes. God has not forgotten it. He is still building something on the foundation of that single surrendered moment.
